Some people and businesses only recommend the same two or three acts for each and every function or event - usually those that they have personally experienced or have become friendly with.  They may not know, or consider whether, there are other acts that better suit your requirements.  Additionally some entertainers will tell clients that they are ideal for just about every function – just to get another job (if asked for additional recommendations they usually recommend their mates).

Just a few lines to say thank you so very much for helping to make our evening at Shangri-La on Saturday 11th November such a wonderful event for all present.  The band was very obliging and the music was fantastic.  As for the dancers, we only need to say that there was no one eating or chatting while they were on the floor.  "Spectacular", sounds like such a used word, but that was what they were.  Please pass on our congratulations to all of them for such a wonderful show.  We only hope that we are able to use them again in future.

Dear Ian
I am writing to thank you for your assistance with sourcing and providing entertainment for the Welcome Reception and VIP dinner for the Second International GH‑IGF Symposium, held recently in Cairns.
The fire twirlers were a great addition to our welcome reception and added a bit of humour to their act too. The band was also a hit with their Beach Boys music.
The acoustic guitarist for the VIP dinner was absolutely fabulous. His performance was exquisite and was the perfect type of entertainment for the evening.
Thank you for coming to the Welcome Reception to ensure everything went smoothly ‑ I appreciated you taking the effort to do that.
